As I mentioned in the video the foam wind screen does help quiet down your breathing and room wind noise, honestly though I use it for the simple reason that I do not want my spit getting on the microphone, after all we so spit a little when we talk. The pop filter did its job quite well, it stopped all of the harsh "P and Q" noise that usually comes through, depending on how you speak you might have to play with the distance of the pop filter, if you speak strong then the bigger the distance from the microphone the pop filter will be. Also take in consideration the program you use while recording, I use Audacity, for me it is easy to use and does the job.
Taking the price into consideration the Aukey Studio Microphone is an excellent buy, it is a simple, straight forward microphone that comes with all the hardware you need to do a podcast, narration/voice over, record seminars or what ever you plan on using it for. I gave it four stars because I had to boost the volume up some for the video, despite it being a bit quiet it does have a good clean sound to it. It has a nice clean sound as you can hear in the video, this microphone and kit is perfect for beginners and students, is it worth the money. yes it is.
