Mpow Petrel earphones

The Mpow Petrel earphones come in a really nice box, they are presented very well inside the box. They are lightweight, if it were not for the feel of them in your ears you might forget that you are wearing them. I love the simple but elegant design. The charging port is behind the silver cap on the right earphone, a bit tricky to open but once you do it is easy going from there. You get a well built charging cable, and different sized silicone ear pods, small, medium and large and ear stabilizers.Charging took just under two hours and I did get the 5 hours of playback that Mpow claims.
I did notice that the blue tooth range was about 26 feet for me, still a pretty good range. I had no problems pairing the Mpow Petrel earphones to any of the three devices I used for testing, the Nexus 7(2013), Nokia Lumia 520 and my iPod Touch 5. There is a difference in audio and volume performance from each of the devices but that is not the fault of the Mpow Petrel earphones, it is due to the fact that each device has it's own characteristics. The earphones themselves are not that loud you have to rely on your device for the that, it makes sense because of the size of the battery.
The audio was full and a pleasant experience. The highs were tight and crisp, the mids were punchy and well balanced and the bass was clean, no muddy/muffled noise, just a nice warm thump. Vocals was easily heard though the mix as well, even when both the earphones and devices were at full volume there was no distortion, no loss of any EQ frequencies at all. It was a true pleasure to use the Mpow Petrel earphones. Due to how light weight these are I had no trouble with these falling out of my ears, a very snug fit that was comfortable even at the 5 hour mark. Taking calls was easy, though at times the caller did have trouble hearing be but that could have been because the collar of my coat was in the way.
Mpow also included tiny cable management clips, if you find that the Mpow Petrel earphones cable is a bit too big use the clips to shorten it up, it takes a bit to get used to the clips but worth it. The included stabilizers work splendidly, they were comfortable, I hardly knew that they were there, and they kept the earphones in place. The only negative I can say about the Mpow Petrel earphones is that the pairing LED light, which is on the right ear phone is too small, if you are not looking for it, or if the environment you are in is really bright you can miss it easily, so if Mpow can make this LED just a little bigger these earphones would be perfect. I would definitely recommend these to anyone!
