I really like the design of the MPow Wolverine earphones. The build quality is fantastic. The aluminum is solid and light weight, the flat cable does make for a tangle free design and is pretty thick, and the rubber covering the cable is smooth and is made from a quality rubber not some cheap plastic you find. The audio performance is really good, the highs cut through with no problem no "tinny" sound at all. The mid range punches through with warm articulate tones, as for the bass I found no problems, no "muddy" or sloppy noise just a pleasant thump. As with any earphones make sure that you have the right size tip on them, too big or too small and they will fall out or not even fit in your ears. I did however notice that these were a bit on the quite side. Even when turned up all the way on all three devices I tested these on the Wolverines were a bit quieter than other earphones, and absolutely no distortion with the volume maxed out!
Even though they were a bit quieter the Wolverines did produce a very enjoyable listening experience. I can easily compare these to higher end earphones, these are premium earphones with out the high end premium price. The controller was not only easy to use but very intuitive as well. Voice quality during calls was what you would expect, clean and clear. Charge time was about 2 hours and play time I did get just under 8 hours, standby time, well I charged them and waited a week and still got 7 hours of play time from them. The blue tooth range, for me, was 29 feet, there are a lot of factors to consider on the range, fluorescent lighting, wall thickness, metal obstructions etc. so your distance may vary.
The only complaint I have it the charging port flap. The strip of rubber that connects the flap to the earphone is a little too short, I actually pulled it out while attaching the USB cable. Too sum things up the MPow Wolverine earphones are an excellent buy.
